THERE were more than a few raised eyebrows when Paul Mullin left Cambridge United to join the Wrexham revolution last summer.
Mullin had scored 32 goals to help the U’s earn promotion into League One and was named the League Two Player of the Season after breaking the divisional goalscoring record.
But after turning down a new deal at Cambridge, he penned a three-year contract with the Red Dragons after being blown away by the club’s ambition.
And it hasn’t worked out too badly.
