Oldham fans’ joy as takeover nears

ECSTATIC Oldham Athletic fans are looking forward to ‘starting a new journey’ as a takeover of the club draws to a conclusion.
The National League newcomers announced on Thursday that a deal had been agreed with a ‘longstanding successful local business’ and it is hoped it will be wrapped up in ‘less than four weeks’.
That is welcome relief to Latics fans, who have witnessed two relegations since Moroccan businessman Abdallah Lemsagam took control in 2018.
