Stars deliver on their stadium promise at Wrexham

WREXHAM co-owner Rob McElhenney hailed a “symbolic moment” for the club after buying back the Racecourse Stadium.
The ground had been in the possession of Wrexham Glyndwr University since 2011, when it was sold by former owners Geoff Moss and Ian Roberts in order to avoid bankruptcy.
However, the arrival of Hollywood duo McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds – who bought the club in February 2021 – revitalised Wrexham’s finances and a survey held in November showed 94 percent of Dragons fans wanted the pair to buy back the freehold. Now, they have.
