CAPTAIN George Mapletoft struck the winner to ensure promoted Sherborne Town made a winning start against Millbrook.
The First Division champions carried on where they left off having lost only three times on their way to lifting the title last season.
But they were made to work for the points in front of an expectant home crowd with both sides unable to break the deadlock during a tight first half.
