SOUTHPORT produced a remarkable opening hour to lead by five at Boston before a late retort added respectability.
Home keeper Rhys Davies was first beaten on 18 minutes: Tyler Walton got in down the left and pulled back for Connor Woods to sweep home from close range.
The lead was doubled on 24 minutes. Jordan Archer, briefly a Pilgrim two seasons ago, headed home unmarked from Woods’ corner. He added another five minutes later, marching through to slide underneath Davies.
