NEWLY PROMOTED Worthing comfortably saw off Welling United.
Before the healthy crowd had settled down, there were goals at each end. Joel Colbran was given space down the right and his cross was turned in by Callum Kealy. At the other end, Medy Elito was played in down Worthing’s left and he slipped in Tyrique Hyde to score his first Welling goal.
Just shy of the 20-minute mark Lewis White cushioned Ollie Pearce’s pass, and slotted home.
