BEN Greenhalgh’s 90th-minute penalty salvaged a point against a Kingstonian side much-changed from that which visited Hartsdown Park on the last day of last season.
Troy Howard nearly got Margate off to the perfect start but his shot was turned around the post by evergreen Ks custodian Rob Tolfrey.
In the 27th minute Greenhalgh’s flick was cleared off the line.
Gate keeper Amadou Tangara then made a fine save tipping a shot from Gabriel Ajuchi over the bar.
