SHEPPEY began life in the Isthmian South East division with a home game against Chichester City on what was a very hot day on island with the bright sunshine and the searing heat.
A good crowd of 286 made the trip and watched an entertaining game which ended in what was probably a fair draw with Sheppey United’s goal coming from a fine strike by Jefferson Aibingbee who on the stroke of half-time cut in from the left and curled a wonderful finish.
