Nine-man Blues fall to late Philliskirk strike

CHESTER, who recorded their third consecutive defeat, finished with nine men, while AFC Fylde also failed to keep 11 on the field.
After 45 rather turgid minutes, in which neither side created any clear chances, the game exploded into life in injury time when the hosts’ Adam Thomas, and the Coasters’ Pierce Bird were dismissed after a confrontation.
The referee took advice from his assistant, before brandishing the red cards to the players, who had squared up to each other after Bird had brought Thomas down.
