HARINGEY held on for a remarkable first win of the season, having had to play with ten men for all but seven minutes at Colston Avenue.
Boro’ full-back Michael O’Donoghue received his marching orders for bringing down a goalbound Iffy Allen on the edge of the penalty area.
But once Tom Beere’s effort from the ensuing free-kick cleared the Boro bar, Carshalton rarely threatened to breach a defence expertly marshalled by Scott Mitchell and Rakim Richards.
