JOHN Murphy scored his fourth goal of the season to help Prescot Cables secure their first league win of the campaign against Runcorn. Murphy has started the season in great goalscoring by adding to last week’s brace against Skelmersdale, with the only goal of the game at the Joseph Russell Stadium.
In a tight local derby, it took until the 65th minute for Murphy to convert one of Prescot’s chances, and leave Linnets chasing the game.
