DECLAN Daniels scored on his debut to rescue a
point for Widnes. Colne started the better of the two sides in a first half devoid of any real quality with Lucas Weaver shooting wide within the opening seconds.
Daniels went close for Widnes with their best chance of the opening period, heading narrowly off target.
Those two players would ultimately find the net within four second half minutes.
Weaver opened the scoring for the visitors, opening up an angle to shoot beyond Owen Wheeler, while Daniels equalised immediately.
