THIS match had to be abandoned after 20 minutes due to a serious injury to Chesham’s Jake Peck.
The midfielder cried out in agony after a 50-50 challenge with Merthyr’s Tom Handley just outside the Chesham area, and the referee stopped the game and a call went out to ring for an ambulance.
When the ambulance had still not arrived 45 minutes later, the referee had little choice but to call the game off.
