TWO first-half goals earned Brentwood the points to move them up to fifth place in the table.
George Craddock put the Blues ahead in the ninth minute with a deflected shot from the edge of the area that went in off the inside of a post and Tom Richardson headed home a Correy Davidson free kick in the 27th minute for 2-0.
Bees’ keeper James Askew saved well from a Craddock free-kick and Basildon had a chance to get back in the game early in the second half through Daniel McCullock, but Louis Chadwick was quickly off his line to smother.
