WELWYN Garden City won the bragging rights in their local derby at Hertford Town with a strong performance which put them in the early promotion picture.
The visitors had the better of the first half and took the lead after 40 minutes when Hertford old boy Max Jessop finished off a quick breakaway move after Hertford had surrendered possession.
Early in the second half City doubled their lead from the spot after Joe Dearman was felled and Josh Hutchison converted.
