MACCLESFIELD sacked boss Danny Whitaker after they were beaten by Northern Premier League side Guiseley AFC.
The club acted swiftly following the loss and gave Whitaker his marching orders despite the Silkmen sitting three points clear of the Northern Premier League West table.
