BASINGSTOKE got back to winning ways with a well-earned win over Sutton Common Rovers.
Sam Argent marked his return from injury with a goal inside three minutes. Brad Wilson spurned a great chance to extend the lead and Matt Surmon equalised with ten minutes to play in the first half, following up a long throw with an acrobatic finish via a deflection.
Ezio Touray raced clear and placed a shot inches wide from a tight angle before making amends moments later, scrambling the ball home after Callum Winchcombe’s surging run and blocked shot.
