■ A SOLITARY goal from Jack Holmes was enough to hand Slimbridge a home win over Lymington Town.
The only goal of the game came midway through the first half.
Ethan Dunbar’s strike from distance was cleared off the line for a Slimbridge corner. The corner was played short and flicked on towards the far post where Holmes was lurking to slam the ball into the net.
In a game of few chances from either side, the visitors almost equalised with five minutes remaining.
