ALFRETON TOWN and Bradford Park Avenue cancelled each other out in a stop-start affair at the Impact Arena.
The Reds’ stance was made harder in the warm-up, as Dominic Smith picked up an injury that saw Josh Clackstone get a start.
Alfreton looked good early on through, with chances for Dayle Southwell and new signing Jordan Thewlis falling short of the target, before goalkeeper George Sykes-Kenworthy was forced into an acrobatic stop to keep out Matt Rhead’s goalbound header.
