ALTHOUGH the kick-off was delayed by ten minutes due to the late arrival of the Merthyr team, once the game started it didn’t take the visitors long to get into their stride They took the lead after nine minutes when Tivvy keeper Lewis Williams saved and the ball fell to Zack Maher who slotted home. Tiverton responded and had chances to get on level terms, but Will Fuller in the Merthyr goal pulled off some great saves.
