Hyde United 1-0 Gainsborough Trinity: Super Sonny shines bright

Hyde United won the battle of two of the sides at the top of the NPL Premier after a single-goal victory over Gainsborough Trinity ended a run of three games without a win in the league, while ending the visitors’ unbeaten away record.

HYDE United won the battle of two of the sides at the top of the NPL Premier after a single-goal victory over Gainsborough Trinity ended a run of three games without a win in the league, while ending the visitors’ unbeaten away record.
Hyde scored the only goal of the game on seven minutes. A free-kick conceded by Gainsborough just inside their half allowed Liam Tongue to deliver into the box.
