DAN IN AS BIRD FLIES THE NEST

FORMER captain Dan Lawrence has been appointed as manager of Southern Counties East Premier basement club Canterbury City following the resignation of Keith Bird.
Bird, the former Cray Wanderers and Tunbridge Wells boss, amassed just 12 points from 18 games.
Lawrence will be assisted in his first Step 5 managerial role by Sam Wilson.
