■ A MUCH-depleted WGC were soundly beaten by Cirencester, on their first visit to the Urbaser Stadium.
The Citizens’ hopes were hit early on when in-form central defender Ryan Doherty pulled out in the warm-up and then, ten minutes into the game, his replacement Phil Lowen had to come off with an ankle injury. WGC never recovered, their visitors taking the lead via an Andrew Lewis freekick, while Lowen was down injured.
