QUAKERS DON’T LOOK BECK IN ANGER

DARLINGTON demonstrated there is life after Mark Beck as two goals by Jacob Hazel helped them to a win against Spennymoor.
Beating their near neighbours was exactly what Quakers needed, two days after losing their leading scorer to Solihull Moors.
Darlington trailed 1-0 early on when James Curtis rose highest to head home a free-kick.
But Alun Armstrong’s side turned it around with two quick goals. The first came when Kaine Felix dispossessed Curtis, his pass found Jack Lambert and despite the tight angle he blasted home.
