■ THE game started off brightly for Witham, with Basildon coming into the game more after the first 15 minutes.
Following a mix-up in the Witham defence, Shane Temple took advantage to open the scoring for the Bees after 28 minutes. Witham looked to be more lively at the beginning of the second half and, after 51minutes, Adam Vyse struck well to bring the scores level once again.
Vyse made it a brace four minutes later, somehow scoring from the tightest of angles.
