Spartans’ resilience keeps leaders at bay

AFTER three 1-0 wins over fellow strugglers, Blyth Spartans held firm again to secure a creditable draw against leaders AFC Fylde.
Cedric Main created Blyth’s best chance after 15 minutes when he hit the post, while the Coasters had an effort cleared off the line in the second half.
Spartans started the game the stronger and almost took the lead when Main won a loose ball before driving towards goal to fire a low effort onto the post from 25-yards.
