GORLESTON bossed the first half against Heybridge and took the lead in the 12th minute when Connor Ingram beat the offside and drilled past the keeper from a narrow angle.
Things got better for the Greens in the 34th minute when Jacek Zielonka’s corner curled straight into the goal.
Heybridge were better in the second half and pulled a goal back in the 65th minute when Quba Gordon headed in from a free kick. The Gorleston goal was leading a charmed life at times, but nerves were settled when Connor Deeks won the ball and sent Ross Gilfedder through....
