■ IT was the worst-possible start for East Grinstead when, two minutes in, a long throw in saw a header come down off the crossbar and fell for Donvieve Jones to poke in.
The first half was then largely uneventful with the midfield being bypassed and a poor half came to an end with a 0-1 score.
The second half went the same way with a dearth of decent football until the 50th minute when a corner from Sittingbourne should have been cleared, but the ball fell to Jones again to finish. Grinstead started to get in attacking areas and were reward...
