KETTERING failed to guarantee National North football for next season after a meek and beleaguered performance in front of their highest home attendance of the season.
Chester on the other hand had the perfect day, securing the win whilst being able to rest key players before their play-off run.
The hosts only registered one effort on goal for the entire match and that came after just eight minutes when Keaton Ward was one-on-one with Harry Tyrer, who smothered the ball before a shot could be sent goalwards.
