THE FA has taken play-offs to a new level this year. Some lowly Step 4 sides are playing runners-up in Step 5 Leagues to fight out promotion and relegation. I love this different idea!
Selfishly, it allows me the chance to pull in grounds I haven’t yet visited when the pickings are becoming decidedly thin on the ground. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a win-win situation (rather than a win-lose situation for the clubs involved).
