Salmon’s in the pink for Red-hot Town

ALFRETON got off to winning ways in their first home game of the season against Southport thanks to a double from summer signing Lewis Salmon.
The Reds fired out of the blocks, taking the lead with less than a minute on the clock. Adam Lund launched one of his trademark long throws, and Salmon gratefully swept home from close range.
Then a direct ball towards Ryan Taylor caused more problems in the Southport box, and Salmon was again alive to the loose ball to put Alfreton two to the good on the 17-minute mark.
