Wings pay penalty as Nick wins it

TAUNTON TOWN made it two National League wins out of two at Wordsworth Drive this season thanks to an early goal from Nick McCootie. The visitors however will feel their performance deserved at least a point and will a missed penalty. After a quiet start, the Peacocks grabbed what proved to be the crucial goal after ten minutes. A ball forward saw McCootie get the better of both Taofiq Olomowewe and Jack Burchell to find himself free with just keeper Ben Winterbottom to beat, which he duly did by slotting into the far corner.
