PREVIOUSLY winless Stafford Rangers survived a late onslaught by FC United of Manchester to get their first points of the season.
Shot-shy Boro’s first goal of the season was an own goal, in the 15th minute, after United keeper Pat Boyes had failed to claim a corner and two of his teammates got in a tangle on the line. Luke Griffiths was the unlucky man.
