BARRY HOWARD 1950-2023

ALTRINCHAM are also mourning legendary winger Barry Howard, who passed away aged 73 this week.
The wing wizard was part of the successful Runcorn Linnets side that won the Northern Premier League before he had a spell at Stockport County.
Altrincham paid £3,000 for him in 1978 and he went on to score 73 goals in 288 games. Capped seven times for the England Non-League side, he played for Hyde, Witton, Ashton United and Droylsden.
