SOUTH SHIELDS bounced back from midweek disappointment to keep up their 100% home record with a routine win over fellow new boys Rushall Olympic.
Aaron Martin extended his scoring run to three league games to give the Mariners the lead in the first 20 minutes.
Shields were then given breathing room when Jourdain Nkalambi-Masidi diverted Blair Adams’ cross into his own net midway through the second half.
The Mariners were looking to recover from their midweek defeat at Scunthorpe, but nearly fell behind in the opening stage...
