CANVEY ISLAND and Braintree Town played out a well-contested draw.
Gulls produced a good display against their Conference South opponents and could easily have nicked the game at the end.
The usually dangerous Evans Kouassi blazed wide for Canvey from a good position in the first 15 minutes after Gulls made a positive start to the game.
