KETTERING Town saw out a late onslaught from visitors Sporting Khalsa to edge a nervy FA Cup tie yesterday.
A single goal sealed the match, with Harry Reilly tapping home a loose ball on 23 minutes, after Ty Lewthwaite’s initial shot ricocheted off the left post.
The match lacked quality from the off with both sets of players’ minds set on not making a costly mistake. Sporting were lively and tried to keep the tempo high and were nearly rewarded on 11 minutes after the industrious Toumani Sidibe slid a shot goalward, ...
