SHEPPEY United became the toast of the FA Cup as they stunned Step 3 high-fliers Merthyr Town at Penydarren Park.
The Ites, 13th in the Step 4 Isthmian South East, toppled the Martyrs who had won seven of their nine matches at the top of Southern Premier South in the biggest shock of the round.
And they had to come from behind too with Merthyr going in front on 16 minutes – Alex John finding the on-running Tom Handley with the former Cheltenham Town man finishing calmly past the advancing Aiden Prall.
