Benches set the wrong example

READING ‘Diary of a Groundhopper (NLP, Sept 16), I can whole-heartedly relate to his comments made regarding the “tripe and abuse” coming from both benches.
Sadly, this behaviour has become like an epidemic and is spoiling the spectacle and enjoying of watching Non-League football.
Due to this, I have cut back on attending matches for the sake of my ears being abused by the foul-mouthed managers and coaches, which escalates onto the field.
Not only is it a gross example set to their players, but also the impressionable children in the crowd.
