Gregor Robertson

A former defender, Gregor began his senior football career at Nottingham Forest having progressed through their academy.

He made his debut in the League Cup in 2003 against Tranmere and his Championship debut against rivals Derby County just a few days later.

Gregor went onto play for Rotherham United and Chesterfield – where he was part of the League Two title winning side in 2011 – before spells at Crewe Alexandra and Northampton Town.

He moved into Non-League with Grimsby Town and was Wembley winner as they returned to the EFL in 2016 through the National League play-offs.

The former Scotland U21 international studied a three-year degree in sports writing and journalism at Staffordshire University and, as well as a columnist for The Non-League Paper, writes for The Times where he is a regular on their popular The Game podcast.
