WITHAM played the majority of the game with ten men after captain Liam Whipps was sent off in the 26th minute for bringing down Luke Johnson when he was through on goal.
Seven minutes later Johnson scored to put Gorleston ahead.
Despite the ten men, Witham had the majority of play in the second half but couldn’t muster a shot on target.
Jacek Zielonka had a free-kick saved by the visiting keeper and it took Gor- leston until the 86th minute before they scored their second after Ryan Curtis was fouled in the box, and Johnson converted the penalty.
