Barnsley 3-3 Horsham: Dom dreams as battling Hornets get last laugh

Even the most optimistic of Horsham supporters couldn’t have dreamt of humbling Barnsley on home turf. A League One side, and a formidable one at that. Most wanted only something – anything – to cheer.

THEY slogged to Yorkshire by road and by rail, battling cancellations, traffic jams and the sodden aftermath of Storm Ciaran.
They came despite being forced to play on Friday night, a decision that cost the club a bumper payday and many supporters a day’s wage.
In the end, though, it was all worth it for the 563 hardy fans of Horsham and the heroic players they cheered for 97 breathless minutes.
