Last-gasp Bunney hero for the Reds

JOE BUNNEY netted in the last minute to salvage a point Workington deserved from a drab encounter. In a match of few chances, Whitby started brighter as Jacob Gratton, their hero in midweek at Radcliffe, fired across the face of goal and Junior Mondal flicked just wide. Connor Tinnion then forced a strong save from Shane Bland at the other end on 11 minutes.
Harrison Beeden’s long throw was then diverted into Gratton’s path but the former Rotherham playmaker was unable to convert the chance.
