SITTINGBOURNE ended their 2023 home programme with an extremely comfortable win over struggling Merstham.
But it was a frustrating first half which the Brickies dominated for long periods. Ayman El-Moghaebel saw an effort brilliantly cleared off the line and Mitch May shot over as the first half ended scoreless.
But as soon as D’sean Theobalds’ shot was bundled into his own net by keeper Endurance Johnson, the Brickies stepped up a gear.
