SOARING EAGLES HALTED IN THEIR FLIGHT

BEDFORD Town stretched their lead at the top of the Division One Central table to three points, even though they were held to a Boxing Day draw by hosts Biggleswade FC.
Ryan Blake and Carl Mensah had twice fired the Eagles into the lead, only for Rio Martucci Bedingfield and Alex Marsh, in the 90th minute, to deny them all three points.
Thankfully for them, however, second-place North Leigh were unable to take advantage as they went down to a shock 3-0 defeat at Cirencester Town.
