THIS mid-table battle came amid the sending off a Newton player, leaving them with just ten men.
All action at the Bradley Football Development Centre came in the second half as the hosts took the lead just after the hour when they picked up a stray pass, allowing Adam Drury to play the ball to Jack Richardson who made no mistake in front of goal.
Caine Winfarrah made his first appearance since October when he came on for Andy Taylor. Ten minutes later he made his mark, putting the ball beyond Nathan Fisher to extend the Boro’s lead.
