SEAN Miller scored a second-half brace as Widnes ran out winners over Avro.
This was a contest between two of the meanest defences in the league and that was reflected in a first half with few clear-cut chances. Miller struck the foot of a post with a freekick, while Avro’s Jack Anderton had a cross go over.
Widnes took control after the break, Miller’s first coming after 53 minutes when he collected a loose ball in midfield before rifling a shot into a bottom corner beyond Grant Shenton.
