HEBBURN Town held off a potential comeback from Stocksbridge to claim an important three points.
The Hornets broke with a ball over the top, Amar Purewal getting onto it before finishing with some help from a divot on the pitch.
Controversy ensued when Charlie Reaney went clear for the Steels, only to be tripped by goalkeeper Kieran Hunter who received a yellow and made the save from the resulting Tomas Poole free-kick.
