BEN Allen scored twice as Basildon fought back from behind to see off Grays Athletic. It was one of those games that both teams battled out on a heavy pitch and with Grays took an early early lead from a Jack Humphrey header after a corner that seemed to loop over everyone into the goal. Grays’ Matas Skarna was then denied by home stopper George Marsh, before a great effort from Allen drew Basildon level on the stroke of half-time.
