ASHTON United produced an outstanding performance to hammer champions-elect Radcliffe.
In front of a bumper crowd of over 1,800, Alex Byrne (two), Keilen Adams, Nathan Lowe and James Hardy silenced the home support with an excellent tactical display.
However, in the first minute it seemed as though Radcliffe could run away with the game – Jordan Hulme opened the scoring within 40 seconds of the first whistle.
